Basically they keep the old power stations running etc as a way to leverage the nuclear deal.. if they close power stations and don't complete building power stations and we don't get load shedding but have capacity that can be added without capital expense.. well then it looks bad for pushing nuclear.

Nersa's ruling on increases this year coming under fire because they didn't allow the requested 19%. <-- Eskom has till now been allowed to recover customer efficiency & lack of demand due to economy and customers abandoning it by pushing unit prices up and growing capacity instead of cutting when demand was gone. Basically.. running like a parasitic parastatal. Gonna be interesting seeing what happens next..

Basically government screwing up then blackmailing citizens to pay for their incompetence & corruption.

No wonder Trump calls us ****hole countries..

Remember Enron?
Enron was eviscerated for their actions.

We won't see that because it is the creatures in government that are doing this, so you won't see any sort of investigations into this type of abuse.

Calculate how long even a fast tracked RFP/RFQ take.

How many times would it go to court before being approved (knowing that all competitors of the Russians will go to court)?

How long would that take?

Certainly way after 2019.
