No I'm saying keep testing past the 6 month period maybe it will last longer in capable hands.

That makes no sense. If it's tested and works, then enter it into service. Testing it for longer won't yield better results.

Just waiting for the City of Cape Town to start doing their own thing, and the Western Cape for that matter. Can just as well pay the City, rather than going down the rabbit hole with batteries & solar.

Our new mayor has (I think!) promised us that CoCT will be "load-shedding free" by the time of the next municipal elections in 2026. I have high hopes. Let's see...

Well done to the workers, the Eskom leadership and well done to the revolutionary Comrade DD Mabuza.

Do you just post kark all day?

We have saboteurs trying to cut down pylons which feed power station coal conveyers so I wouldn't say it's "kark".
The idiots who blow up newly commissioned generation units don't help either.

Why so long? All you need is to convince an investor to build a power plant with a long term purchase agreement. Does the city have a guarantee in place with Eskom? They probably do know a private provider would be more expensive than Eskom.
