My stove is not connected to it, but the air fryer does well enough if we do need to cook while purely on battery power, a gas geyser also helps to take hot showers during load shedding

Eskom announces load-shedding

Eskom will implement Stage 2 load-shedding during the evening periods of peak demand from 16:00 on Tuesday, 13 May, until 22:00 on Thursday, 15 May 2025.

The power utility says the primary reason for load-shedding is the delayed return of several units from planned maintenance.

They are lying thru their teeth.. I do you possibly have a delayed return if the maintenance is planned. Surely part of the plan is planning how long it will take?

How much does an hour of air fryer chow from batteries?

Ours runs around 1900w until it gets up to temp, then cycles up and down as the element turns on and off. I think 20 minutes at 200C is around 7-8% of our 5.12kWh battery, give or take, assuming no solar input.
