According to reports on Twitter, City Power JHB is collapsing. Lots of people without power unrelated to load-shedding
Mostly in the JHB North area by the looks of it but those particular areas have had endless trouble.
It would be anything attached to the Houtkoppen substation and other areas like Randpark Ridge, Bromhof and such

Let's see how Joburg holds up today, going to be an interesting day.

Hopefully this is not our Venezuela moment.

Not sure why they are moaning, stage 4 on the 4.5 hour schedule I'd have a session every 12 hours, so in total I'd be down 9 hours sometimes longer as it would take forever to bring up the grid, one time I was knocked out on the morning session, power didn't come back on, went right through to the evening session and eventually by midnight I had power, only for it to go out again at 8am.

Grid collapsing or not, these areas are still offline 17 hours later with still no proper update from City Power as to what the real issue is.
So "the grid in our part of the city is collapsing".

Nobody said it's the Eskom grid collapsing.
