Anyway. At just before 4 Eskom stated that they don't have ANY load shedding planned.

Low and behold ... at 18:00 sharp, the power went off.

They are loadshedding most evenings during peak times.
Expect it, that way its a pleasant surprise if it doesnt happen.

We were supposed to get shed last night between 5pm and 6:30pm.

It didn't happen, and I'm assuming this was because we have a smart (post paid) metre and use very little power ourselves.

This is about the third time we've escaped shedding by dint of Cit Power's new "load limiting" measures, and I must say it's refreshing to see some good coming from the damned smart metre after all.
