NEVER get into business with Ramaphosa if he sees such massive losses, year after year, as "normal" for any mature company

If it's partly due in part to clouds, then why is it going stage 2 tonight? Are clouds going to block the light from the moon?

No, I said they are heading that way, I didn't say say they are on par (i.e. experiencing load shedding)
The first article I posted was 2014, the second 2015

Apparently not investing in existing infrastructure (not just power) is a big problem in a few first world countries.

And they've recognised it and are doing something about it, unlike the ANC did in 1998 when THEY were warned.
Also - note that when one of their entire stations goes down, it takes out like 1% of their generation capacity.
When one unit of ours goes down, it takes down 2-2.5% of our capacity. One station accounts for over 10% of our capacity.

Maryland has daily load shedding in the summers during daylight hours. but they limit it to the residential areas.
I simply don't believe you and I can't find anything from a few googles to demonstrate that you're telling the truth. Provide a credible source to back this up.

He said Transnet was an example of parastatal that was “operating well”.
Wait WHAT?!? Our rail system is so fscked that trucks are being used in incredible numbers today to move goods across the country.

“It may well appear that we are pumping billions [into parastatals], and we are. But that is how it works,” Ramaphosa said.
No Cyril that isn't how it has to work. That isn't historically how it has worked in the past. There were times where these entities didn't require a bailout every other week.

In a statement Eskom said some of the generating units that are currently offline due to technical faults include Unit 6 of the Duvha power station, which lost 300 MW and Cahora Bassa in Mozambique which also lost 300 MW due to technical faults.

I got the message, i won't discuss it again FFS

Chill Koosi :)

A long time ago in a forum far far away there was a guy that lived in Australia and came to the forum daily to post about how bad it is in South Africa.
He was really despised, in the end that forum closed down, not due to racism or prejudice but because none of the locals had any interest in the expat mantra.

Don't become that :p
