By the time Eskom sorts itself out they're going to realise that they've got no more paying customers left after middle-class households and small businesses start generating their own electricity.

They're driving grid defection by not mandating encouraging solar at a household level.

No tears lost for them at all. Not even going to talk about the audacity to be pimping Nuclear too.

Declining demand? Really? From the same idiots who were hounding us to reduce demand to prevent load shedding...

Is it rising prices or is it rising bonuses that is causing the problem?

BEE bloat.
Salaries paid to uneducated unqualified BEE candidates, vs the best person for the job, then hiring "consultants" to actually do the job.

Diesel being bought through BEE companies adding a massive overhead. When I say massive, I mean massive. Hundreds of millions right there a month.

Money should be spent on maintenance, and improvement, instead its been deferred as long as possible, and money syphoned off to corruption.

Without a regime change, this isn't going to get any better.

Said it before:

While we could all do with cheaper power, there's a silver lining here.

The point at which it's feasible to go off-grid is getting ever closer.

Eskom should be ****ting their pants... They probably haven't thought that far ahead though :crying:
