Not really. Only for those that live from the hand to the mouth it can be upsetting. Im in at 70K and offgrid. Specs are mostly use solar power and very little storage. no gas stove or geyser. solar is enough to provide heating on most days. even during light rain I get almost 2KW.

Next up is priority, what gets power when. HA is going to work overtime....

Without making drastic lifestyle changes you can't go off grid with R70k hell most people R70k batteries aren't enough..
