Eskom won't give a flying s**t about this, neither would government. Both are protected from any laws surrounding data and privacy. Laws only applies to the private sector and citizens.

Yeah, as usual, you shouldn't comment on things you clearly know nothing about.
 
Why would Eskom not only have your credit card details on record, but your ccv number as well?

Well Eskom and Gov may not care but i'm sure PASA will find this to be interesting..

I'm assuming this is for Eskom direct clients... not municipal clients.

Probably people paying their bill directly to Eskom . Don't think people using the easypay service thingy would be compromised
 
Hasn't POPI kicked in yet? Never mind, will commence sometime soon (next two months) + 12 months grace period. No consequences for Eskom, for the time being.
