The fact BEE and specifically AA exists, casts doubt on competence. Period. No black person can categorically claim they got the job based purely on competence - because they will never know whether skin colour or competence was the reason, or a combination thereof. There will always be doubts.

Meaning there are racist who are roaming free here and to them black means incompetence, he seems to not be aware of this, I was just making him aware so that he does not waste time in an argument he'll never win.

No - logically there will never be any doubt. If a black person did not have to compete with any other candidate of a different race there wouldn't be any doubt at all that he/she was hired primarily based on race first.

It must be nice competing in a diluted pool.
AA/BEEE policy is an afront to the survival of the fittest IMO. It goes against nature

There aren't 4000+ skilled engineers and technical specialists available sitting around in the market waiting to be recruited.

Therefore, we can assume most of them are not suitably skilled or qualified for the job.

So what you are saying then Eskom is that you don't even have one single excuse or reason for increasing your work force by 10 fold over 2 years.

Same excuses as every other SOE and the ANC: deny, blame shift and race card.

Employment Equity facilitates the hiring of incompetent people by sacrificing quality for quantity. It's a quick fix band aid plaster.

It is much easier to paint everyone who criticises as a racist. That is what you do here after all. Spend all your days calling out the 'racists' who question the ANC's racist policies, its wholesale corruption, all the lies it has been caught out trying to cover up.

Ultimately once you have finally undercovered all the 'racists who are roaming free' you will still be sitting with a government that is wholly corrupt taking all its people for a ride. The 'racists' will still be roaming free. Great achievement.

Three years ago Eskom promoted more than 40 black women into executive positions (E-band) with pay-packets of more than R1,2 million to meet equity targets. The positions were created and they did not have any jobs.
There were more than one drive to employ staff for targets.
 
Anybody of any colour or creed can be competent or incompetent. It's just somewhat interesting how every BEE championing SOE has failed beyond what a person can call dismally. It seems that in these places "Transformation" is championed above competence and as a result of that we have what we have now.

A government that claims to be "non-racial" and "inclusive" has drafted specific laws to be racial and exclusive, yet when somebody questions it they are branded racist and "non-transformatory".

Double standards much? This CUNTry makes me sick honestly :crying:

Everything can be interesting if you ignore the obvious and look for reasons that gels in nicely with you agenda.

I think our SOEs failed because of corruption and not incompetence, when Eskom knew very well that they had to do maintenance but chose not to, by the way a couple of people have already started heaping praise on the progress being made by De Ruyter at Eskom, is it the same incompetent employees who are making De Ruyter look good or did he come with different workers to Eskom?

I have spoken to experts who have been to Medupi and Kusile, and the opinion is that there has been significant incompetence in the planning and construction of these power stations.

Did the experts say the cause of incompetence was Affirmative Action? Anyway the failure of Eskom does not start and end with Kusile and Medupi, does it? By the way senior managers of Eskom were arrested for corruption at Kusile and investigations are still going on for massive corruption amounting to 139bn for both Medupi and Kusile.

Design flaws and all the other costly blunders associated with the two power stations are well documented, I am not arguing about that, I am saying that the are many factors to the state that many of our SOEs including Eskom finds themselves in, the top one is corruption.
