Eskom expects 30GW of wind and solar to come online in next 10 years

And I expect the ANC to fleece as much as possible.

So, R20 million on power lines, and the rest into the pockets of cronies?
It's something like R30m/km for transmission lines supposedly, so 5650 * 30m = ~170bn (the 5650 was last November what they'd said they'd build, the 8650 they want to build now seems like an underquote).
That's US rates, but sounds about right for South Africa as well.

Oh, I don't dispute that in the slightest.

What the anc will deliver is about 500 meters of power line and eat that 178 billion like a fat kid inhales McNuggets.

all the while singing Shoot the Boer, and take the land and turn it into Mogadishu.
but hey, fun times ahead, especially just before elections, then they can go back to stashing money in Dubai.

I mean, we have all seen the recent pictures of multi million Rand "stadiums" delivered by the anc.

Here's what I expect eskom to deliver here:

Broken, patchwork infrastructure, that doesn't connect to the power supply, and will probably be delivered in Nelspruit, when it's needed in the karoo.

This photo was 4 years ago, so imagine 4 years more growth.

Exactly the basis for my faith in eskom
Yup and in 2016 a Curro bought a piece of land and by the end of 2016 there was a school, this piece of land was cleared in 2014 by the government.
