So close to the elections, Brave move, lets see how that plays out

(I know they will still win, but i like to dream)

I’m sure the ANC must be fuming at their own Eskom for doing this just prior to elections.

That's nice. Too bad the substations keeps on tripping and breaking when they try to switch it back on again. Currently running 2 hours over the loadshedding time slot. Gonna be a long and dark night for some.

When they talk of 'replenishing generation reserves', what exactly are they referring to?

Diesel for the OCGT? Coal for the CFP's? Because surely you would have enough of this already as they are being used continuously.......

It's a PR euphemism, without giving any facts. It means either pumping up hydroelectric dams, or filling OCGT diesel tanks, or sometimes both together.

It's time for tenders, for tariff increases, and maybe some repairs and maintenance. /s

BTW, it could be much, much worse:
A government official told Reuters news agency the country's two largest power stations, Deir Ammar and Zahrani, had shut down because of a fuel shortage.

The power grid "completely stopped working at noon today" and was unlikely to restart for several days, he said.

For the past 18 months Lebanon has endured a severe economic crisis which has got worse amid fuel shortages.

The corrupt at Eskom in alliance with certain types in the ANC, the unions and racists are going to use this to lobby for de Ruyter to be removed.
