Eskom gives South Africa load-shedding breather — updated timetable released

Eskom has announced that South Africa will be spared from load-shedding for the first time in weeks between midnight and 05:00 on Friday morning.

It aims to suspend load-shedding for a few hours every morning until Monday, and hopes to only load-shed between 16:00 and 22:00 on Sunday.

Wish we knew if this hectic bout of load shedding will continue for another couple of weeks or if there will be a break for a while as has happened in the passed. Our inverter's lead acids are rapidly fading and only last about 90 mins max before we get the alarm bell. Having said that they have given wonderful service since Feb 2019, so no complaints here ! Just don't know if we can hang on for three weeks until L'ions are in stock again or rush out now and pick up AGMS only to find that load shedding is reduced and I could have waited for the L'ions !

Hang on for the LFP's and try reduce your load as much as possible (less load = more capacity). Turn your brightness down on the TV.
