In order to fix Eskom you need to vote the ANC out first. You can't fix it without doing that because its the ANC that's bringing it down. Unless you privatise Eskom and introduce competition, you need the ANC to be dismissed.

However, even in that situation we will still have loadshedding for a while.

De Ruyter should be fired, as simple as that. When a ship sinks, the captain should go down because it all happened during his watch, but he is there as a white puppet to make the tax payers happy, and he isnt really doing anything that he is supposed to be doing, other than deflect the criticism.

That's a lie. It didn't all happen under his watch. Eskom's demise started 15 to 20 years ago. Load shedding is just the symptom - not the cause of the issue.

Black CEO - under Apartheid everything was perfect providing electricity to only a small percentage. So its the CEO currently messing up. Not past issues beyond his control.

White CEO - Its past issues not the current actions of the CEO. Its all due to past issues outside his control.

What will happen should De Ruyter piss off a couple of mafia kingpins and they terminate him?

We'll go down.

So.

As long as he is at the helm of SS Eskom, and is trying hard to avoid the looming iceberg... just keep swimming...

Rubbish. All townships had electricity in the 80's. And SA had 42 GW capacity then. It now has 28 GW. All the doing of the previous CEO's and the ANC government.

But as I was told, "Your father told my father what to do but you're not going to tell me what to do!" Said with invective, venom and revenge with spittle flying. I now smugly get to say, "I told you this would happen."

Enjoy the African paradise you and your ilk created.

It is not possible to fix any of the country's problems while evil reigns supreme.

The past is in the past, arguing about the past excrement does nothing other than blow hot air.

The problems are in the present and the present evil prevents any reasonable solution.

If they lack the skills at Eskom, and the Solidarity list isn't transformed enough, why dont they hire more black engineers then?

Our Gov seems more intent on hiring Cuban engineers than local.

Lies. The whole country had electricity during apartheid. All townships too. The only thing, before 1994, if you did not pay, you did not get electricity. You also did not steal electricity, because you would have gone to jail. After 1994 they thought they could bribe votes by giving free electricity to townships, and this was not possible. Together with AA and BEE this collapsed Eskom.
