Eskom changes load-shedding timetable

Eskom has announced that it will not switch to continuous stage 2 load-shedding from today as previously intended.

Instead it will continue to implement stage 3 load-shedding during the evening peaks and early mornings, followed by stage 2 load-shedding during the day.

Update: We're running at Stage 6 now.

  • 16:00 – 05:00 — Stage 3
  • 05:00 – 16:00 — Stage 2

You can make sense of that document, it said today and tomorrow stage 3 at 4 to 5am and then it will be stage 2 from 5am to 4pm everyday? it's like wtf are you going on about.
 
Meanwhile our president is compromised, the DP is facing charges, and somehow the economy grows.
Its almost as if people are already building for post 2024 elections and have written off the current ruling party.

Welcome to Eskom, where the workers are incompetent and the loadshedding schedules doesn't matter.

Right?! The way I read it makes it sound like no loadshedding from 4pm to 5am everyday, but that can't be what it means!
 
Oh shock,horror. Right now a fukking Boeing could crash straight into nasrec where these cANCer fukkups are having their whatever the fukk they doing and most of the country would celebrate.
 
Well can't say this is a surprise. Things are always more like to get worse than improve.
 
We should go for double digit naming now.
Stage 2A, and now stage 2B, same with Stage 3A and 3B.
Can have up to Z different versions of a stage, and then up to 10 stages (or andre's preference)
 
Eskom must be forced to sell all power stations to private operators and only exist as a distribution network. Even then the distribution network companies must be regionalised and then also sold.

All SOEs have failed. Every one.

Due to further breakdowns and delayed returns of generating units to service, Stage 4 loadshedding will be implemented from 09:00 until further notice. Eskom will publish a full statement in due course.

Stage 4 load-shedding "until further notice"

Eskom will implement stage 4 load-shedding from 09:00 until further notice, the state-owned power utility said in a brief statement on Wednesday.

It said this is due to further breakdowns and delayed returns of generating units to service.
