East Coast Radio Facebook Page:
eThekwini’s new Stage 4 ‪#‎load_shedding‬ schedule kicks in from today - Eskom says there is a high probability of power cuts today.

Has anyone seen the new stage 4 schedule?

If there was Loadshedding (stage 2) in CT, I wouldn't be typing this.
Well the whole areas out, otherwise I've developed super powers that let me absorb energy. Could be a fault though, but it's not just my building.

Before you say there is load shedding in your area, why don't you check with Eskom FIRST at http://loadshedding.eskom.co.za/ - there is NO load shedding, which means it is a fault in your area.
Yes, because their schedules never change as a result of them being a well managed and consistent company. Often when they do ad-hoc load shedding, they start the schedule whenever they want.

I am in zone 11 and the power is still on...

Probably a conveniently timed fault then. Drove around before work and everything was out with no maintenance vehicles in sight.

Hopefully the municipality has an answer.

And they update the load shedding status page. First check there, and if it's not load shedding, then report a fault.

Well you did vote for them...as did the whole of Souith Africa...

At least it's nice and sunny out. My solar array is collecting 'sun-juice' quite effectively today :D

When Eskom sheds load it's up to the municipalities to implement the schedules for that stage.

Looks like the new schedule is gonna hit us hard up on the hill, the Durban North folks must have some politicians in the area, they almost almost get a free ride

Yep... even with the old schedule we would not go off at least half of the time when we were supposed to. And sometimes when we did go off it was back on after 15 minutes.

mutter mutter :D
This new one is going to be murder. Last time round it was every second day 2200-2200 like clockwork with the only 2 consecutive days being Sunday and Monday evening.
I figured that was harsh but this one has me grumpy.

I believe large areas of the Bluff were also never shed last schedule, probably strategic port areas would be affected as a result.

Time to move.
:D

Today's update is the same as yesterday, a high chance of Load Shedding.

Your substation probably tripped. Log a fault with your provider.
