Eskom loses 10 generating units - brace for Stage 6 power cuts

God. Some people are kak stupid. I had you on my ignore list coz of stupid kak you've said in the past, but I saw a reply and had to unmute you.

Open your eyes.

I'm glad they sound and look convincing to you;)

Did I say it was going well?

No. I did not.

However, to say we will be exactly like ZIM in two years or five years or before/ after some event is what I have heard on these forums for the last decade.

Still waiting.

Now its going to happen before 2024?

Yeah, no - it's definitely not going to happen by then.
In all fairness, while not exactly like, we are going that way, just much slower. Look back 5 years. 10 years, ... the decline is constant, the rate just changing now and then, but ever downward.

If you can't see it, I don't know what to say to you.

De Ruyter is just a puppet on a string that is controlled by a puppet master. He has no say. Even if he has the right solutions. This is the problem with most state institutions. Most if not all leaders at the helm of said institutions do not run the show, they are merely a face to a higher power that calls the shots.
His controller is also a puttet. That's the problem, too many levels of puppets

What p*sses me off is that de Ruyter said stage 6 leads to 6 hours a day without electricity. Here is my our schedule for today. Definitely more than that. Its Eskom direct, not through a municipality IMG_20220628_132757.jpg

Again, I am not arguing that all is well and rosey and that there is no decline.

I am saying its definitely not going to happen in 2yrs time.

Yep, wait for the De Ruyter supporters to come say "his hands are tied", etc.

If his hands are tied he can't do anything for us. No point in prolonging this whilst things just get worse and worse.
In an interview with Dennis Davies and Andre du Ruyter last night, Big criminal syndicates operating within Eskom. Plug one source of fraud and theft and another appears. Eskom stopped the diesel theft and then discovered R1.1BN theft of stock at one power station etc. Coal deliveries having metal and rocks added to the loads to dilute the good coal as they are paid by weight, that damages the power stations. They employed a top forensic guy to start sorting this out. His house was shot at and he resigned. Their hands are tied, cops release those arrested the next day on orders from senior cops. De Ruyter said he cannot fix Eskom alone. Unless the authorities and NPA actually take this on we are going nowhere. No individual would want to put their families at risk by taking on syndicates. Load shedding here to stay for a long time to come. At least it makes sense what’s happening now.

Definitely is a strong word. Probably not, but things swing rapidly in ZA when they do. Who would have never believed we'd see what we did in Jul last year. It was a wake-up call to some, indirectly a good thing as it mobilized some good folks. While I'm not a doom prophet, nothing surprises me. We had all the opportunities and each one was pissed upon with people still not learning fast enough.

Enforcement. I just commented on Jul last year. How is that going? Hot air has never resolved anything. Maybe we can vent some of it into the coal stations, that would alleviate all the problems.

We can have all the pretty nice sounding laws in the rule book, but unless LE understands why they're there and are willing and able to enforce, it's a waste of time.

Did I say it was going well?

No. I did not.

Well you said it's not going like zimbabwe. And if turning into zimbabwe is the context then yes you were saying we are doing well.
My point is we are well on our way. Things have only gotten worse not better.

Those times are odd, at stage 6 you have a 4 and a half hour blackout. When I check mine for stage 6, they the regular times.
