Eskom needs an expert like Sparky to fix things, Carte Blanche can head hunt quick quick:

This is where corruption starts. At home. People bending the rules for their own benefit.
@7:10

Very true. Who doesn't know someone who bends some rule for their own benefit regardless of skin colour? Am I right? Can't complain about state capture or any corruption when you do it yourself. As they say "You're not stuck in traffic. You are traffic."

Remember when Texas experienced that freak weather that caused rolling blackouts temporarily and the ANC was like "look look! Even the capitalist pig-dogs have loadshedding!"?

Good times.

It is against the law for workers that are essential services to strike. Like the police, army, nurses etc. But all of them have striked without consequences under ANC rule.
There is the problem. They are not classed as essential workers yet. It's move Eskom management are trying now.

"De Ruyter says no protestors have been arrested yet.

We will consider laying criminal charges in confirmed cases of arson or violence."

WHY NOT? IT IS ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO STRIKE, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER IT IS VIOLENT OR NOT.

ARREST THEM, CHARGE THEM, AND FIRE THEM.
How many joules will we get per striker?

They're not essential service workers? Eskom is an essential which by definition makes the workers essential service which is why they can't get a certificate to strike, but that would never stop local unions. It is funny that the unions are distancing themselves from the strike even while their reps are on TV toyi toying and talking to the news lol.

Heard some numsa or whatever the fukk this union calls itself on the radio yesterday saying the public must side with the striking workers. Maybe they can go fukk themselves. But the longer these fukkface Eskom employees that are stealing spare parts, stealing diesel (on a grand scale) and allowing sub grade coal with a 40% content of actual fuking rocks to be used which is damaging the furnaces the worse the situation will become. When the point of no return is reached then there is no hope for this misery of a country.

But hey at least Eskom is creating employment opportunity for criminal to pillage and steal under the cover of total darkness.

I blame the cANCer because they allowed things to get into this state. Vile rodents and that is all they will ever be.

It is likely precisely because de Ruyter is doing something (like uncovering corruption and theft) that this is happening - the ones he is after are doing everything they can to get him out.
The increased LS is likely a sign that he is slowly slowly winning.

So when the whole country is plunged into darkness he finally wins? That's just crap. He's as much a useless cadre as those before him. Nothing will save eskom now, other than maybe the anc being voted out.

"At Lethabo, we have seen some pretty severe incidents of intimidation. Four homes of plant operators have been attacked by petrol bombs overnight, about 70 maintenance staff are absent," De Ruyter explained.

Which one did you buy, I'm looking to get one for my router.
I brought this Guzzi dual DC one https://www.everyshop.co.za/gizzu-8800mah-mini-dual-dc-ups because my ONT is 12V while router is 9V, so instead of doing the whole step down and worry about dc cable length, I went for this which have different ports and different voltage outputs, also gives me a bit of future proof when I change router or have a new ONT.

If you decide to buy a UPS, just pay attention to the voltage and amp requirement of your ONT and router as well as the size of the DC plug connections and the dc plug cable length you need for your setup though.

My first time using Everyshop, they are running a special and is R200 cheaper than takealot, but I have to say that after making just 1 order that their website is quite rubbish, there is a bug transferring address from the address book to the delivery address... after sale support also very poor and basically non-responsive... I am still crossing my finger that my package arrives safely... will see what happens

BS? You think the country it doing well?
Shits gone down the drain long time ago. Everyone was right the ANC and their people turned everything to ****.

Did I say it was going well?

No. I did not.

However, to say we will be exactly like ZIM in two years or five years or before/ after some event is what I have heard on these forums for the last decade.

Still waiting.

Now its going to happen before 2024?

Yeah, no - it's definitely not going to happen by then.

South Africa could have solved it's power crisis within 6 months to a year if they allowed private companies to generate properly.... even under NERSA regulation...
But we all know the chicken is being choked from the top down....
These zombies must be voted out completely... but morons don't want to vote.

Would like to know what the RET involvement is, seeing that the Unions stated that they don't support the strikes.

I bought the Vizia Mini DC UPS about a year ago. One of the best investments I made. It keeps my router and ONT going for about 6 hours. It has splitter cables and adapters in the box.

Yep, wait for the De Ruyter supporters to come say "his hands are tied", etc.

If his hands are tied he can't do anything for us. No point in prolonging this whilst things just get worse and worse.

De Ruyter is just a puppet on a string that is controlled by a puppet master. He has no say. Even if he has the right solutions. This is the problem with most state institutions. Most if not all leaders at the helm of said institutions do not run the show, they are merely a face to a higher power that calls the shots.
