Surely this is fake news? Nobody, even the trully dimwitted would have the absolute gaul to ask this and then on top of the completely idiotic demand, the extortion attempt on top of that?
It probably is fake news, the guys have gone to the CCMA to air their grievance, the load shedding part was probably added by journalists who got it from their sources, who conveniently cannot be revealed.

Name and shame the filthy bastards. The whole country should know who this treasonous scum is and where they live.
This

Not saying anything will happen to them but there is a strong possibility they might just wake up wishing they were someone else.

But the anonymity of sources, that's how journalists roll.

one would hope it is, on the other side we are constantly whacked in the face with ever greater stupidity. almost as if it knows no bounds.

Only two things are infinite; the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former

Great let them make a list of all the unhappy people and fire them all. I only got a 5% increase last year.

SA has a 30 percent unemployment rate. There are more than enough able people or robots for that matter to replace them.

Eskom managers want more money – or load shedding may return

Senior managers at Eskom are taking the power utility to the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) to demand higher salaries and bonuses, Rapport reported.

These managers, who earn between R1.5-3 million per year, warned that strike action and load shedding are on the cards if their demands are not met.
Hmmn...., If you want more money, and the conomy is diving like a gellow submarine, you have to realise that the money is going to come from yourself, your mother, your father, your brothers & sisters, your neighbours, and all this while you actually do not want to work in the 1st place, you are eating into yourself and surroundings in the long run, so this nonsence is obviously not sustainable, and soon you will be in that happy place of no work, but without money.

Do you want to go forward, or stay a developing country that never develops, or should I say continent-?
The rest of the world will only have so much mercy, and only can afford so much lazyness, before the spirit leave completely.

It does sound like blackmail, criminal charges should be laid against these Eskombobulations.

Isn't Eskom delivering an essential service and is the monopoly service provider to do so ?
So, these demands and threatened action, must surely be treason ?.....or will CR just stay quiet again and eventually wipe these managers' asses and give in.

Scenario 1:
1. Eskom does not increase salaries and give bonuses
2. Unions go on strike
3. Eksom folds, taking the country down with it

Scenario 2:
1. Eskom does increase salaries and give bonuses
2. Unios don't go on strike
3. Eskom folds, taking the country down with it

Scenario 3:
1. Eskom retrenches 60% of its workforce
2. Unions go on strike
3. Eksom doesn't fold, and the country is safe for another year

The only scenario in which there is a positive outcome is to not bow the unions. The fat cat union bosses only care about themselves, not the country or the people who make up the bulk of the union.

Is this not an Essential Service? Not only are thugs running the country but thug workers are holding this country to ransom. The unions have way to much sway for this country to succeed.
State Capture at it's best.
