Question - how fast do the lithium ion batteries re-charge when grid tied? Think its time to bite the bullet on this.

much prefer the night time shedding so at least can still work in day, but 20:00 to 22:30 is a bitch of a time to have no power. Friday, Saturday and now tonight on stage 4. I envy you guys with solar, **** fancy cars or the finer things in life, if you got a solar setup you are living the elite high life. Power is becoming a luxury.

I set my AM-2 to be charged at 50A. So a complete drain to 0% will take 2 hours to charge back up

Proper brand = 1C

Mostly depends on what the inverter & wires can push.

burning a lot of diesel
This isn't hard to get.... Your 'suppliers' are paying your 'employees' to break **** so you need to burn a lot... until you figure it out, you will continue to do so ;)

No - they're in Gauteng, so won't be using them anyway - will look for something similiar in Cape Town .
Okay perfect! That shop is a scam. Just checked their reviews and pricing

If your requirements are simple, you might as well look at a power trolley solution from geewizz?

It's not simple, basically want the house functioning during load shedding. (all but geyser) - we currently use an average of 45kw a day, with the geyser using about 15kw.

I don't want to go full off grid because we'll never a return as we won't be here for more than 3-4 years.

Will you be leaving the equipment behind or look at reselling it when you about to leave? It does pick up a house value when looking to sell also from what I hear.

Or long story short budget lol
