Given how they are constantly doing maintenance and **** is then constantly breaking down, it's clear what the problem is. Spoiler: The maintenance teams are ****ing it all up, either purposely to get more tenders, and or just through incompetence

So glad we'll have electricity when the economy needs it least.

My conspiracy theory is that the engineers that were meant to do the maintenance are going on leave and don't have any additional to continue the work that was supposed to happen.
Thats my take....likely no-one wants to work...

This sounds like a bad idea. If the maintenance was planned, it was for a reason. Now they cancel the maintenance over christmas where presumably the load is low, when are they going to do it? In January when the demand is high?

A well placed bolt or two could scupper these plans quite easily :whistling:

Does this mean that all the previous CEO's who ran Eskom into the ground by not doing maintenance were just "performing miracles"?

So, what Stage you guys think we'll have on Christmas.
I say at least Stage 6. Santa is going to start buying stolen Eskom coal in order to fill the stockings of all the naughty politicians this year.

The one time we want Santa to give us coal.

What an utterly bizarre statement to make..
Planned maintenance < chances of loadshedding.

BULLSHYTE!
Eskom is lying, YET AGAIN.

Told you so. The ANC doesn't want the fallout of Christmas load shedding. But we're damn sure gonna pay for it next year.
It makes no difference, it's only their internal election and they are all to blame. It's not like the country is going into a general election...
