I don't know hey, how does a guy/ a group of guys angle grind 6 steel stays without anyone noticing or hearing a thing? It would take atleast 30 mins. Atleast one by stander should of seen something.

Might be Eskom employees themselves looking for a reason not to work

And?? I guess you are still going to deny that sabotage is taking place?

JFC. Did you read my post? It was a reply to a question about theft instead of sabotage.
At what point did I deny it is sabotage. It is ****ing sabotage.

I doubt a cordless angle grinder would be able to cut through that many supports so likely they would have had a portable generator going on top of that.

Some serious planning and support went into this.....

Sabotage... proven.
Now, if De Ruyter has any balls, brass or otherwise, he would act... but he can't, his hands are tied and now he probably has a target painted on his back

Jirre, stop with these type of fokken media briefings. Only hold one when something significant and beneficial and positive has transpired.
- We have apprehended 27 suspects for malicious damage to infrastructure.
- Power station X is now running at 97% capacity
- We have fired 1578 top managers involved in corruption, etc.

2 of those images showed the bars separating at around ground level.... did the grinder guy remove dirt, cut and then replace dirt?

I don't have access to the evidence, not do I know what an angle grinder cut looks like vs. a shear, but if I were cutting them I wouldn't be cutting that low. It seems really awkward.

They have cut down a string of street light poles along Kliprivier Drive (main artery trough the south of Johannesburg). I'm talking kilometres of light poles downed.

They also cut down traffic lights throughout Johannesburg. It is so bad, in certain areas they have now stopped replacing them. They even cut down the stop signs that replaced the traffic lights.

In the dead of night, ne'er-do-wells can get a lot done. More so if it is an ''inside'' job.

Shocking and dismaying. Hope the cops get to the bottom of this sabotage.

Wonder how widespread this is...

“There is definitely significant push-back from some of the networks that have benefited extensively from criminal activity in and around Eskom,” said De Ruyter.

Jebus H christ - I'd love to know what that means.
