Until our collective mindset changes to have actual zero tolerance to crime, by that, it's never ok to take a piece of wire from the transmission lines just because one is poor, poverty can't be enough reason to steal electricity, have that act cause some kid to die and get away with it. Doesn't matter how poor, how many children needs to be fed. No excuse, crime is crime, damage to infrastructure, in this case, must be termed terrorism.

To make the event similar, would have required the Eskom NOC not being aware of Lethabo being dead in the water and the grid largely collapsing.
