Eskom updates load-shedding schedule for Wednesday

Eskom has announced that it will no longer implement Stage 4 load-shedding from 16:00 to midnight on Wednesday, 13 July 2022 — instead, the country will remain at Stage 3.

However, the power utility said the schedule for Thursday will remain the same, with Stage 3 load-shedding from 05:00 to 16:00, then increasing to Stage 4 until midnight.

It is like the old days with cell phones. From 00h00 till 5h00 you get 50% discount, from 5h00 till 16h000 it is 25% and from 16h00 to midnight 0% discount. But wait, there is more. On Sunday it will be 50% for the whole day from 5h00 to midnight...

If this is the new normal can we have at least have power during rush hour and when you trying to make food for the family in the evenings and the mornings.

That's peak demand time. It's the single point at which loadshedding is most necessary.

Don't believe them until the time comes. If planning was one of their strong points we'd not be in the darkness now. It's like Eskom has been driving on their spare tyre now for years, limping along while 'buddies' get to ship dirty coal up and down our roadways destroying them as well.

The ONLY way out of this is more capacity. The ONLY way to get more capacity is for US to supply it, the independent companies. Eskom has had over a decade to prove otherwise.
