Eskom promises no load-shedding over the long weekend

Eskom says it has returned 3,320MW of generation capacity to service over the past 24 hours and is confident it has enough supply to meet demand over the long weekend.

The power utility has also set 5 May 2025 as its winter outlook briefing date. It previously planned to host the briefing before the end of April 2025.

So this means after the long weekend they planning loadshedding?
Depends if the right hand talks to the left hand. If they don't then it will be like it was yesterday with no warning and not even following through with their statements like finishing at midnight just because we are a banana republic, if we were a proper republic, we would finish at 6am like what was promised.

We just need to turn Medupi off and on again and it will be fixed.
We have no idea how Medupi is doing. It could already be off for all we know after trying that. I wish for the national key points to be advertised like those screens seen in the control centre!

Eskom: "We have electricity". How cringe can you possibly get?

ping Medupi

O fok.
I remember seeing those screens in the control room which showed each unit for all the power stations. Imagine we had a dashboard for that ****? Eskom PR council (Mr Sparkles) would be ****ed.
