Cape Town - The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) has honoured Eskom for its openness and responsiveness by awarding the power utility the 2015 Golden Key award for the “Most Responsive Public Body”, Eskom said.

Eskom won the SAHRC’s award on Monday.

The winner was decided by votes from the media, political parties and Chapter 9 institutions.

“Eskom has previously won Golden Key awards in 2008, 2009 and 2013,” newly appointed Eskom CEO Brian Molefe said in a statement on Tuesday.

“Winning it again this year is a clear demonstration that the company has not wavered from its commitment to transparency, openness and responsiveness.”

Yet another fake award...
If they were really open, we would be able to get a glimpse of their SCADA system online.

The winner was decided by votes from the media, political parties and Chapter 9 institutions.

There we go, a totally fake, bullschitt award that means less than Zim dollar

If Eskom are open, I'd hate to see what a closed corp is. Maybe the S A Army or National Intelligence Corp?

The golden key is made of cardboard anyway

NamPower I am Impressed.

On their Scada Screen under Imports/Exports there is a figure of 429 to eskom - It is refreshing

So it looks like in January of this year Eskom was importing an Average of 200MW of Power but today @ 17:39 the Scada systems indicates 427MW. If this is correct, we really are up the river without a paddle to put it mildly.

I thought this was quite funny coming out the day after Hitachi paid a fine for bribery for the Eskom build program...
