One day in the future that referenced article, and the mentioned processes of gross incompetence, corruption, "jobs for the boys" and underhand dealings, will become a world-wide "must read" reference for scholars at universities who are working towards their Doctorates in Business & (Mal)Administration

That's a well research article.

The irony is that Eskom requires so much paperwork and presents so many bureaucratic hurdles to overcome in doing tenders that many companies don't even try. These hurdles are ostensibly to 'improve governance'.

Africa gonna Africa.

This isn't a surprise anymore, and it won't be soon before milking the system will be the only way to survive.

QFT. I am so tired of reading about the never ending stealing and corruption going on. It's like a free for all with the connected Cadres.

They will continue on this path until there is nothing left to steal and all the munny (intentional) is gone.

Then will go with a begging bowl to the West for help. Typical Africa style....

Very interesting article, also showing the tentacles into other state owned organisations or departments. Sickening.

Soooo, business as usual then? As if I expected anything less haha

"The government will inject R23-billion into Eskom this year, but the utility’s debt was R265-billion, according to its last financial statements."

And yet they keep repeating the same mistakes ad infinitum, and keep paying those ridiculous salaries/bonuses... Gg guys, gg...
