Eskom pockets R463 million after selling off land, buildings, and equipment

Eskom has sold R269 million worth of its assets over the past five years, including 494 buildings and other facilities and R119.6 million worth of laboratory, transport, and workshop equipment.

However, the proceeds received from the sale of these assets amount to R463 million — 72% higher than their book value.

Is that the same accounting acrobatics they used when they sold our strategic oil reserves? Cos we know how that went based on non-anc accounting standards

Auction is still one of the best way of getting more than you bargained for.

Not even a small drop in the ocean of how much cadres have stolen from Eskom….

More like maybe R50 million.
Scraping the cream from the top.

If I didn't know better I'd think people were moaning when Eskom is losing money and moaning even more when Eskom is making money.
