Eskom threatens Johannesburg with power interruptions over R4.9-billion unpaid bill

Yep, still out, 24 hours later. The solar does really well, when there is sun, which is sketchy at the moment so concentrating on getting the batteries charged for now before getting one geyser heated up.
How does it work? I'm super hammered so please explain it like I'm a 2 year old. Or you can treat it like a rhetorical question that I was boasting about earlier.

We have a 15kVa diesel generator but other than it uses around 2l/h at 50% load I couldn't tell you how much it costs to generate a kWh using it. Excluding the two ovens and underfloor heating, our entire house is connected to our inverter, so if there is an outage we use mainly PV to run heavy appliances like the kettle, geysers, air fryer, etc. and I manage our load as best I can. I ran the generator yesterday for the first time in probably 6 months because we ha no mains and I hadn't run it in probably 6 months but we used zero kWh from it.
15kVA at .8 power factor will produce 12kW, at 50% load 6kWh. 2l diesel at R19.59 = R39.18 / 6 =+- R6.53 / kWh

Well seeing as the DA is not in, they will be allowed to ride the wave forever.................Tshwane to follow suit.

But the same Tshwane got away with it, they still owed Eskom when the DA was kicked out, your DA victimhood is invalid.

Aaaaah the defendants are awakened...............

The DA had agreed a payment plan and was paying accordingly

Eskom threatens to cut off Johannesburg's power

Eskom says it has served a notice of intention to interrupt power supply to the City of Johannesburg and City Power at certain pre-determined times of day in accordance with the Provision of Promotion of Administrative Justice Act (PAJA).

"The City of Johannesburg (CoJ) and/or City Power currently owe Eskom an amount of R4.9 billion, excluding the current account of a further R1.4 billion which will become due and payable at the end of November 2024," the power utility stated.

How does what work? Solar?
The genny. If I had to guess, your setup is either dolat or genny, no hydrid, which is really burning my right wing brain that this was allowed to happen in the first place.

What should have happened:
Day 1: Have a huge house warming party
Day 3: Take the day off.
Day 7: Your mind should be clear of all obstacles except getting the genny to charge the batteries. (probably more complicated than it sounds?), but anything is possible in a right winger world.

I can't wait for all the blue haired crazy nutjobs to live through the next 4 years where the only thing that happens is awesomeness.

Even if I wanted to use the sun, the inverter keeps switching to grid mode as they are angle grinding at the moment, and whatever angle grinder they are using the inverter doesn't like. So yeah had my lights flicker a few times thanks to the inverter going grid, no grid, grid sigh :-(.

Its an impossible task because of the fact that we have to most expensive anc electricty in the world while being in one of the poorest countries in the world at the same time.

Listen properly; I've already told you this is not true and not relevant.

Would probably do the same thing, as the inductive load from the angle grinder is probably way over the spike allowed.
Isn't the Axpert really crap at collecting solar while mulitasking?
