Eskom threatens Johannesburg with power interruptions over R4.9-billion unpaid bill

Isn't the Axpert really crap at collecting solar while mulitasking?
Nope it still managed 6.9 from the sun while pulling 4.1 from grid, it's really bad at blending all 3 battery, solar and grid

The genny. If I had to guess, your setup is either dolat or genny, no hydrid, which is really burning my right wing brain that this was allowed to happen in the first place.

What should have happened:
Day 1: Have a huge house warming party
Day 3: Take the day off.
Day 7: Your mind should be clear of all obstacles except getting the genny to charge the batteries. (probably more complicated than it sounds?), but anything is possible in a right winger world.

I can't wait for all the blue haired crazy nutjobs to live through the next 4 years where the only thing that happens is awesomeness.

Oh, the generator, I'll explain as best I can our current setup. as the generator was here when we moved in..

Main grid supply comes in from the street, DB outside with smart meter and a what I presume is 60A CB. There is another DB on the side of teh house with another 60A CB and this feeds to the generator control box. The generator control box then has a grid only feed and generator feed to our main DB in the house. The main DB then has a feed to our inverter with the inverter CT clamp on the grid only feed from the generator controller box to the main DB. So at the moment the generator controller can pick up there is no grid feed, if it is set to Auto it will start the generator and stop it when grid returns. The inverter picks up that there is no grid feed from the main DB and via the CT clamp. If I run the generator, the inverter picks up that there is 'grid' from the main DB but the CT clamp picks up nothing as the grid only feed from the generator controller box to the main DB is dead.

So, I need to change this so that either the generator powers the inverter via the Gen port or maybe the CT clamp is over both the generator and grid only feeds, to enable us to use the generator with the inverter.

So, my inlaws were around earlier, there is only a single set of cables from the generator controller to the main DB. Which means I have no idea why the inverter won’t use feed from the generator as the CT clamp should see a current whether it is mains or generator.

Try changing the Inverter to Apl vs ups give a higher voltage and frequency range for it to seek on.
My Inverter will not accept the generator when it's on ups but will when on apl as the generator is not clean power, so the fluctuations in frequency and voltage makes the Inverter kick it off

I’ll have a look around and see what I can find, you don’t have a SunSynk from what I remember?

I don't no, but that doesn't change the fact that generators aren't clean power :) and inverters don't like dirty power. Are you still out?

We came back yesterday, my BIL in lower Parkhurst is still out, as are others in Parkhurst and Craighall Park.
