Not good enough. 30,000 of the 48,000 jobs need to be shed. In my opinion, Eskom can operate successfully with only 5,000 employees. So absolutely no reason why they cannot let 43,000 people go today.

What a Twat each Power station requires up to 1,000 employees I believe we have around 17 power stations including the 2 new ones. Then you have the country wide infrastructure to maintain.
And u know this how? Plus no need to insult to make a point.

They should address their expenses on coal too. Mind you, this may put them on a caolition course :) Seriously, how much is the cutting of the proposed management positions going to cost the taxpayer? Me thinks that it will be a large sum given the culture of "Golden Handshakes"

“If we get everything cleaned up at Eskom like we should, we could sacrifice 30,000 jobs at Eskom and create three million more,” Blom said.

How will they create three million more jobs?

Get back the jobs in the general sector lost due to load shedding and blackouts.
