I was thinking a 6.5Kva but I went to check out a friend's one and that damn thing is waaay too loud so now I'm looking to get something between 2.5KVA and 4KVA. I only need my lounge TV (Plasma 275w, sigh), Roku and decoder, kids' TV and decoder and all the lights to work. In total that's less than 1.5kw

Easy, you get everyones friend and hero to run the company, then he goes on to say no no no do not cut off defaulters, or the municipalities, I mean Soweto owes like R8bn or so to date, but nah leave it, and then says all Eskom bonuses are inline with policy (as FUBAR as the policy may be is of no consequence) and you have a nice bunch of happy people.

They get about 1.5 GW (Mind you - at this rate - that is going to be about 50% of our capacity)
