I don't know that only Solidarity responded, do you? And they have taken what they require from Solidarity.
No, no, they've taken what they were allowed to by racist politicians, form Solidarity.

And for some reason, you support this racism...

Good, I said they made the call to different stakeholders to supply them with a list of skilled people who can assist Eskom, so far they have taken 18 from Solidarity, time to move on to others, if Solidarity is aggrieved that the rest were not appointed because they are white then they should ask themselves why do they have only white people on that list and what have they done to attract a more diverse set of skills.
They have had access to all
Of them for years. Why wait for a list if the list you have has nothing on it?
They asked solidarity because they were excluded in the past because of race.

Even if you employ 300 white people in eskom right now the overall quotas would
Still be correct.

You are arguing semantics.
They wanted help, but the help they got weren’t the right colour. Now they rather sit in shyt and hope for nothing.

Appoint these people. When the time comes they will be moving on, be fired ( because they couldn’t do the job) and nee people can be hired.
Not very many people stays in one job for their whole life anymore.
Opportunities for skilled people are everywhere in the world.

Use what you have now.

If it did not matter they wouldn't have a list of only white people, if it did not matter they wouldn't have an Afrikaans institution that trains people in technical skills, but because it matters, they have gone out of their way to make sure they end up with a list of 300 white people.

I agree. What Eskom needs is more black engineers.

All those whiteys who left or were replaced, they are the wrong colour. And that's very important.

F0kken LOL!! :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Seems Solidariteit and Afriforums' old Eskom engineers are not interested in helping them. I do not blame any of them though.

Wrong

18 so far. But being hampered by the lovely "black" objections.

The fact that they have implemented this crowd source thing means they initial call went unheeded by all but solidarity. Other they'd be dipping in that pool instead of looking for even more people when people with skills are already on offer.

I mean if it was a call for black engineers or a diverse group then maybe they should have made the call a little clearer in the beginning. Would have saved a ton of time and economy.
If the call was for black engineers why would they appoint 18 white people?

The biggest irony of this whole thing is, that having MORE white people, will actually mean Eskom is being more "inclusive" seeing white people makes out a very tiny minority.

But for some, like @TheChamp, you are only allowed a certain amount of whites, or else the moon will come crashing down! They just cannot stand the site of too many white people in one place. For them, white people should always be "balanced out" with black people!

The call was for skilled people.
The only ones that answered with the correct skills were white.
What do you want with a md if you asked for a boiler maker?

Most the black engineers are in cosy positions that has no risk involved.
Why would they give it up?
For a failing energy company.
They can pick and choose from the jobs available.

You seem to be living in a different country

And the problem is that the people who are currently there aren't doing their jobs properly why this list of people with the skills were created in the first place.

All this time it was very easy for a black engineer to be hired by Eskom because of policies.

Now a list of some white people with the skills to help Eskom causes upset even though these people would not easily have been hired by Eskom because of those policies.

What we need now are those skills. We need Eskom to be fixed.

It annoys the living crap out of me that it's all about colour now.

It's because of BEE that we are in the situation that we are in.

In the absence of anything from Eskom regarding that it is safe to say you made that up, But since we are speculating, the only ones with the correct skills out of the 300 are the 18 and were appointed, how does that sound?

The second highlighted part is also made up and it also shows something that you would never want to admit.

Stupidity is people Iike Solidarity and it's supporters wanting to protect their white exclusivity in a country that is majority non white and then moaning when te government does not want to join in on their agenda, that is stupidity.
What do you expect white people to do when there is an anti-white agenda?

The "other's" are what ? Applying their minds. Where is the list from COSATU, where is the list from NACTU. Will their list be more "inclusive" and if not will you condemn it as well.

Funny then that it is usually the people who are most accused of racism and also "longing for Apartheid", that are also the people who don't mind the race of the engineer who fixes the problem.

The people screaming "racist" and "Apartheid apologist" are the ones getting chest pains because a list of skilled engineers are made out of only white people....THE HORROR!!!
