The problem is that we can't have white people saving the country, it won't look good for the government.
18 of the best will save the country, quality as opposed to quantity.

Plus De Ruyter and Oberholzer are already there, all glory will go to them when the country is finally saved, there is absolutely no scandal.

The problem is Eskom and the government thought that black skilled workers were going to ride up with their loyalty and save the day!

Instead they got:
Nah we are good here. Not touching that pile of shyt with a stick.

I believe we do have enough people who can do the job they don’t want to or are not picked .

Look. You can't hold down direct descendants of Edison & Tesla for too long. That ginormous talent has to be utilized somewhere and we are happy to earn money while they take the credit. It is win win situation.

How does study loans from businesses work these days?
Do they still own your ass until you are finished working back your loan?

Usually it's a case of they pro-rata the payback over a predefined period of years so you can leave before it's done but then you owe them x percent of whatever is left on the loan.

Sure, I am not a child, stop treating me like one.
In this thread you very much are behaving like one...

We honestly have no need for transformation or politics or anything in relation to eskom. It must be all hands on deck and whoever can help resolve the problem should be brought on board and anything that is hindering that should be jettisoned.

They are 100% right on Pravin, man has no business meddling in Eskom's recruitment processes, it was called state capture when the Zupta Ministers were doing it, he is a Minister and he must mind his business.
I agree 120% with you - the sooner we detach the Government meddling in the affairs of all SOE's, or even better: Privatise the entities that can be, the better for all of us.

Unfortunately, playing politics with such a vitally important entity is an extremely risky and costly exercise.

The fact of the matter is as follows: Eskom is broken due to the incompetence of various 'leaders' and board members during the past decade. Eskom needs to get its affairs in order and stabilise the supply by ensuring the fleet runs as efficient as possible. If there are critical skills that Eskom needs to help them, then they should be allowed to employ whomever they need/desire to get the bloody job done - black/white/purple/pink/alien whatever. Political meddling, it can be argued, is what led to the fall of Eskom.

I dont know why there is all the crap .

A while back Eskom said they couldnt employ due to the BEE ratio requirement and that it needed ministerial action...
So the minister got involved ......

No, its an afrikaans university. Not a white one. You can go there if you want to learn in afrikaans. ( lets say able)
You can also go to wits, tuks, stelenbosch, tut, uni of limpopo if you don’t.

Why are you so but hurt?
He is "but hurt" because Solidariteit's list only have white names on it.

He doesn't like too many white people together in one place and wants it the be "balanced out" by black people.
Calling him out on this racist thinking created even more but hurt and then he accidently had his slip showing:

"How dare Afrikaans speaking people, and whites nogals, create institutions where they can study in their mother tongue! How dare they use Afrikaans as a language of instruction to educated Engineers??? Racists, racists every single one of them!!"

Must be a lot of non white members
Considering they have about ~42K employees that only make about ~4200 whites.
And I know they were still working whites out of Eskom.
Guess all of those highly qualified non whites need to start pulling finger

Guess this is what happens when you get rid of the skills without a proper plan

But remember kids, there are no anti-white agenda at Eskom!!

Step 1. Get rid of De Ruyter and stick someone in there not afraid to be unpopular. That prick has done nothing but bank his R7 million per annum salary.
