Eskom wants more money after R242 billion in bailouts

Of course they want. Once you tasted free money, the greed never stops. Why run a successful business when Government constantly dishes out that taxpayer amounts and the rest can be stolen by cronies? Nonetheless, they cannot even pay the existing debt, let alone new debt. Not sure the West will help them.

Money money money money
its time people

Wouldn't have a problem with bailouts if the approach to the business had actually changed, but it hasn't.

Dunning Kruger effect.

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias[2] whereby people with low ability, expertise, or experience regarding a type of task or area of knowledge tend to overestimate their ability or knowledge.

It's like someone who's always maxxed out on their credit facilities. If you pay it off for them, or they come into a windfall of cash, they very quickly max out their debt again. They didn't change anything, so they end up with the same problem.

The problem is not the debt, the problem is the piss poor money management (and basically every other kind of management at Eskom) over the last 20 years that led to the debt.

Every time there is a new CEO at EKSDOM we get....

The bailout consumed already. Better give some more before piggies get upset/stage 8 - 16.
