I don't have solar panels but the R938 will still be applicable to me as we get electricity from eskom. Currently using 350-400 kWh a month so paying less than R938. With the new charge it will send me far above R1000 0

A user that previously used 400kWh on Homepower 1 would be paying R593 per month more on the proposed new Homepower 1 tariff.

What if there's a stage 6 loadshedding and my household as result consumes less. Or if I abide by Escoms requests to switch off any unnecessary equipment.
