Its always 2 years... I wonder which brain surgeon decided 2 years was a good number to aim for since they've missed every 2 year deadline they've set for themselves since 2008.

MY SHORT TERM SOLUTION

I'm going gas as far as I can go for the heavy load stuff.

- Gas stove (sorted)
- Gas Heater (sorted)
- Gas Geyser (busy installing now)

For the rest, LED lighting from a small startup solar panel, converter and battery setup.
Dumping 220V hog PC and getting a laptop.
TV gone 7 years ago (just couldn't watch crap anymore)

Screw Eskom. I'm going to use the least power possible from the grid.

MY MEDIUM TERM SOLUTION

Get to a 1st world country and live a normalized life without continuing to be an economic hostage and slave laborour to a bunch of self-entitled and lying and thieving leeches eating my hard earned tax money for zilch benefits in return. SA is rapidly becoming one of the world's biggest and dangerous open air sewers and asylums and I'm checking out.

Lets not forget that a lot of the distribution equipment is owned by municipalities, and along with them not paying over the collected revenue to Eskum, they don't maintain the equipment.

Last time I was in PE they were still using temporary equipment in place of the switchgear and transformer that exploded - William Moffett road.

^ True. Otherwise you will spend the rest of your days in an endless rerun of watching the ANC push the button marked 'do not push this button'.

As mentioned different strokes. Couples hours offline is a couple of thousands in revenue. Capital outlay makes sense.

As for dying tomorrow, why have a savings account and worry about interest then. YOLO.

Some things I cant get to till I reach a certain age sadly

You know what I love about people using that name?
You know they are racists.

The whole history behind calling Pravin that is based on reminding everyone of his race.
Or somehow implying that it makes him less able to accomplish his task.
Why else wouldn't you just call him Pravin or Gordhan?

No doubt if I look in your post history I'll see a nice trend, but thanks for saving me the effort
It is all a banter dude. What do you expect from Verwoed's and Idi amin's children? ;)

Ermm ...

   I would love to see CIC implicate PG in this. And get a grip comrade. PG is deputy Gandhi now; Jamnadas is so yesterday.
The Commander is in a corner, I wonder what's the plan...

Anyway Jamnadas is the one who supplied the weapon.
I sure as fark don't think you or your buddy are Verwoerd's children, else he'd be back from his grave. Does this mean you're brothers? Or alter egos?

Municipalities must also do audits. Many households have long bypassed their meters, only paying lights and other low consumption items to fool authorities. A family of 4 with no solar, wind or gen paying R500 pm (for eg.)in an urban area should ring alarm bells.

What have they done with the 350% increases they've had since 2008? What exactly, oh wait let me look at the complete and utter mismanagement that's happened and the new shiny cars.

We are 3, and buy R800 of prepaid electricity every 5-6 weeks. You can come audit me any time.
