I tend to agree with Chris Yelland....

Yes, we're suffering with more load shedding, but the renewables that are coming on stream should help lessen that in the short/medium term...

We need Eskom to focus on giving us a stable baseload that we can rely on.... they should stay out of renewables and such until such time as the baseload generation capabilities are back within international norms.

Seriously?

If Eskom can..

If Eskom can ..

If the private sector can ..”

You know what, if the ANC had done their jobs we wouldn't have had this problem in the first place!

All that really seemed to happen since the war room is Eskom introduced another bloody stage..

Eskom have been doing a sterling job... its the chops that weren't listening to them 10 years ago that are the problem.

The War room wont fix the crisis... just prevent us from going over the edge.

If only Tapatalk showed signatures. Hopefully your sig won't ever change either :(

It won't until things improve and get better and we have proper leadership and we are once again a prosperous country and there is law and order and criminals are prosecuted properly and and and ....

Sig should be here for a while still.

No. Really not.
Nobody was putting a gun to the head of the ESKOM guys forcing them to do no maintenance for so long. Actuall for a technician it is rather easy to accomplish to have a machine shut down for maintenance if he is convinced this has to happen now and here.
People must have lost the ethos, the spirit, the feeling of responsibility to make this possible.
So no! ESKOM has had its part in the ride and they must admit it for anything to change in future.
Ah! Nonsense ESKOM is uncurable it must be smashed and replaced by smaller units, local, decentralized as possible and fully transparent managed, no more secrets.

Shoot me down Guys, I don't care.

ESKOM is a HUGE operation. Should be run by Engineers (proper ones) that know stuff. Experienced people that know ****...good four letter word...not a bad one.

Instead ( I am a Technician but nowhere near what they need as far as competence goes) they employ flipping useless Cadres to take over highly technical positions and wonder why all has gone to hell.

Sit there and scratch their heads and enjoy the nice fat salary and all the perks. But do sweet blou fokkol to fix anything. Because they do not know where to start

The war room isn't going to solve the issues around non-payment and electricity theft.

There is a culture of non-payment across all utilities, rampant corruption, theft of infrastructure, lawlessness, legislative failures and judicial incompetence. There can be no success with the current ruling party. The current ruling party is guaranteed to win for decades to come. Failure is a certainty.
