It’s okay. Don’t worry about it. You keep moving the goal posts from post to post to suit your narrative which is really sad. You do have good points. Maybe check out one of those Coursera electrical engineering courses focusing on power engineering over the Christmas break if you have time…or check out Wikipedia. There are quite a few good resources covering these topics…
I haven't moved any goalposts. You just don't fully understand all the points.

In my limited understanding of all this, didn't we just sign an agreement, with a loan, where we ensured that we could reduce our environmental impact in the next 10 years and transition away from coal power?

A couple months later, Eskom is enacting spoilt child syndrome so they can continue blasting coal at an even greater rate?

Yep. Makes total sense.
I don't think that's concluded yet. Also it's a very bad deal. It's just a loan we need to pay back with interest and we'll need way more than that if we're going to replace coal power rather than just subsidise it.
