/hiketariffs /paymore /use-less /useless .... the Eskom mantra , and there's nothing we can do but /takeit .

It is "tough times" already, so i really wonder how long it is before everyone will reach a point of apathy when Eskom tries to explain for the 1000th time why another generator failed.

We already know why.

Obvious statement. Each of every outage we've had has been planned by Eskom. Unplanned outage equals blackout. I wonder if they're still importing sub standard coal and exporting the quality stuff.

“Eskom will utilise its emergency reserves to augment the capacity shortfall as a result of this planned outage.”

Of course, here's their "emergency reserve" , followed by even more failures because of it:

Gupta’s coal mine fails quality tests – Eskom gives it R4-billion deal

The report states that the Gupta mine linked to the multi-billion rand deal had failed coal quality tests four times, before being awarded the lucrative deal on the fifth try.

It's easy, whenever there's a tariff review coming, we'll be loadsheded until kingdom come. When the tariff's are approved or declined, lead shedding appears to end.

That's my view on what happened this year and by golly fact is stranger than fiction so I'm sticking to it, lol.

Shame, Eishkom wants more money again... gotta give the Gupta family their cut for that lucrative deal they just signed.

Can our economy take further load shedding?

Continuing a steady decline, South Africa has slipped from 42nd place in 2000 to 96th in the latest global index which measures economic freedom.

Guess not.. but that fact alone ain't gonna stop the downwards slide.
