Eskom's Energy Availability Factor reached 65.5% on Wednesday

End of load-shedding "within touching distance" — Ramokgopa

The minister in the Presidency for electricity, Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, says the end of load-shedding is "within touching distance".

This is after Eskom achieved an Energy Availability Factor (EAF) of 65.5% on Wednesday.
While this is good news, we're back to measuring EAF as if it's a spot measure when that doesn't give a great indicator of overall system health. It needs to be stable or going up over an extended period of time like 6 months or so.

80% should end loadshedding.
