Eskom's has a big maintenance problem at Koeberg

Koeberg nuclear power station is a nuclear power station in South Africa. It is currently the only one on the entire African continent. It is located 30 km north of Cape Town, near Melkbosstrand on the west coast of South Africa. Koeberg is owned and operated by the country's only national electricity supplier, Eskom.

In 2020 right before the pandemic kicked off, the timelines for completing the new containment buildings for storage of the old SG's seemed real tight given there was no physical work done yet at that point. This was pretty much a given...



He is blowing things out of proportion as usual, the SG replacements will be deferred to the next refueling if I'm correct - the licence only expires 2024-25.

But why not do it now?

No he's not, they delayed the replacement because this isn't ready. But they still needed to shut unit 2 down anyway for repairs, maintenance and refuel which happens every 400 or so days.

We have an ESKOM problem. The problem is nonskills, affirmative action or put in stupid lower grade humans rather than keep skills that have a clue what to do. When you replace experience with colour you will have issues. We have a terrorist government who is YET to sort out corruption and a president that has a white lord's hand up his ass moving his mouth.

We need to get rid of this government and put someone in that is not a party owned by the elitists
