The man behind South Africa's fight against load-shedding

Eskom's performance has drastically improved since President Cyril Ramaphosa appointed Kgosientsho Ramokgopa as South Africa's Minister of Electricity and, later, Minister of Electricity and Energy.

He was tasked with controlling all critical aspects of the country's Energy Action Plan, and Ramaphosa gave him the political authority to do so.

You can say whatever you like but results speak for themselves, Eskom is under better leadership now than it was the past 3 years. That is a fact, whether you are man enough to accept it is a different story.

Yes i am talking to you Andre apologists.
"The man behind South Africa's fight against load-shedding" is Mteto Nyati. Great idea for an article, but wrong direction.
I think both arguments can be correct at the same time.

Well if it wasn't for the ANC that looted Eskom we probably would have had new powerplants. So actually we are much worse of as no new development are happening. The money she's gone ANC stole it all and have a R500 Billion Rand debt with failing powerplants. Sure it's going better?

Fair point.

Who would have thought 1 cook in the kitchen is better than 3?

Did he ever build anything with that civil engineering degree?

It can be difficult to achieve the delicate balance between "stealing sustainably" and "looting and pillaging until it's all gone", but that's one of the differences between a functional state and a failed one. Maybe our rulers are getting closer to that balance? If so, it would be nice if this achievement could be maintained and perhaps expanded to other spheres of government.

I can dream, can't I?
