Eskom's plan to turn a profit in the current financial year

no use trying to reason with a shill bootlicker.
Cause I can read for meaning? Must be hard being in your head. There are words but you can't understand them properly.

Seems like another case of reeee-ing when they need a bail out and then reeee-ing even more when they don't.

Read the articles properly and you wouldn't need to guess. Plus they've been saying they want to add a service fee to their customers since 2021.
Their direct customers, not the municipalities. Who some already charge a service fee without you even using a unit. I've already got to pay R250 before I even use a unit in JHB on prepaid, post paid is R1100.
They already charge a fee. They want to increase the fee and at the same time increase the tariff so their statement of making the tariff cheaper is meaningless as it's still a net increase.

It will in effect be more expensive for everyone.

For their direct users. Reading for meaning is hard it seems.
Eskom has their own direct customers, those are the ones they increase the tariff and the service fees for.
Municipalities have their own fees structure and service fees, they even have to apply to nersa for increases.
All these articles about Eskom adding service fees and increases is their own direct customers. Worry about what your municipality does if you pay them.

Let's agree to disagree, on whether Eskom's increases aimed at the lower consumers (read: solar-power users) will hit municipality users too. We can pick that up after next July again.

The point was that Eskom having the gall to boast about expecting a profit following the size of their last reported loss, despite the years of harm they've caused through corruption, mismanagement, non-maintenance, just does not sit right. They failed the country for years and now expect to make a profit? I'd much rather read about what's been done regarding the mess first, else it just gets swept under the carpet whilst we continue to cough up
It's aimed at people like me. I'm Eskom direct. I pay no service fee.

If you're supplied by a municipality the new service fee changes Eskom is introducing for direct customers doesn't impact you. You can't pay a service fee for distribution to Eskom when your municipality, and not Eskom, is distributing electricity to you.

go suck eskom dck along with your buddies
I'm not dumb enough to think Eskom is somehow going to magically introduce a distribution fee for people that get their electricity distributed by the municipality and not Eskom therefore I'm a bootlicker.

What a muppet.

Can't wait until Trump says I need to pay tax in America despite not living there.

Reading is hard

Once a president is set

Do we really expect municipality not to come up with a similar thing down the line

So yes for the time being this is on the cards for Eskom direct clients , give it time

In George they already have something like this
we pay a line fee
And we pay an Amperage fee

I am on prepaid and have a 3phase connection at home i pay almost 1K I (opted for a 40A connection going for 60A will throw it probably closer to 1.3K)

before I bought a single prepaid unit at R3.10 per unit

Once a president is set, we look in the sofa cushions for money.

Precedent is the word you're looking for.

Farmers on escum direct get screwed for R4000.00 just to have a line.
Many have gone totally off grid.
Escum idiots shooting themselves in the foot.
Idiot government thieves.
