Since Esquire has deemed it necessary to send a constant torrent of marketing emails to me (sometimes 2 per day), I want to unsubscribe. Strangely I don't recall ever subscribing...but whatever.

We've been through this previous already...

This email is fully compliant with the Spam Laws of South Africa [Ect Act 2002, section 45]. If you have received this in error, we apologise. To stop receiving emails from us, please click here: unsubscribe@esquire.co.za

I didn't try to unsubscribe. I put them in the filter.
Sometime ago I sent them my details to open an account. No response, just started to receive this junk.

That works too, but the less unwanted emails we have flying over the intertubes the better for all.

Same here. In addition to that I PM'd the Esquire rep here...also no response. Had to physically go to their admin offices to open the account.

I'm also unable to unsubscribe after numerous attempts. I guess the next step would be to have my ISP block Esquire, and hopefully they do so for other users as well.

Don't display their tags anymore. They will start billing you stardard tariff and eventually send summons. They will lose in SA courts, as you have valid registration.

@Wyzak I checked my system and cannot find your email address , please PM me you details to remove it immediately

@Havok I have already removed your details from our specials mails list

@Sajunky The only reason your account was never opened is that you only gave your name email address
no telephone number to contact you.

Example of good communication. I sent you everything you have requested and never received request for telephone number. :) Instead started receiving spam. Read it, you can't buy it anyway. :)
Hi

Can you please provide with the full details so that I can be able to help you process you account, your name & surname &physical address

Esquire - please unsubscribe me. I've sent two emails requesting removal from the mailing list with no luck.

Revived thread. Esq has indeed removed me from the list so props there.

Still think the mechanism isn't quite working though. Sure I can make a bit of noise on MyBB & ppl listen, but not everyone has the luxury of a mybb a/c with (a little) credibility to force an intervention so the mechanism should work without that.

Since I was contacted personally by Esquire via pm I have since stopped receiving them also.

However it is true what you say the system should be much much easier, Esquire should put in one of those automated click to unsubscribe websites in so you just click a link at the bottom of the email and you are automatically unsubscribed.

You do know if you wish to unsubscrible they also close your account. Seems like the two go hand in hand.

At least that's what they did to me.

Sure? That's arrogance. Do they really think they do favour to you? I have dealt with many local distributors in the past and have never experienced such attitude.
I didn't receive agologies so far for handling of my attempt of registering. They claimed I failed to submit a phone number which they never requested. I submitted a proof, now silence, no corrective action, no apologies.

Did anyone ever figure out how to stop them from spamming you? I have literally been trying for years! Phoned them, emailed them, used the unsubscribe feature. Just keeps coming! What authority can we report this to?
