eToll Gantries JHB - Are they working?

Noticed on the drive from PTA to JHB yesterday and this evening that the usual blue glow from the eToll ganteries is absent. Have they been switched off?

"These lights are controlled by day-night sensors, which automatically regulate the time period during which they are necessary. There are no fixed operational periods. The lights are designed to switch on when ambient light drops below 1000 lux, with a delay to avoid unnecessary switching on, like dark clouds passing overhead. It may therefore also mean that these lights will come on during the daytime when the ambient light conditions deteriorate, like during a storm. Every effort has been made to not unnecessarily waste energy, and therefore these luminaries are based on more energy efficient LED technology. This, in conjunction with the automated control of these lights, ensures energy efficiency,” said Mr Mona.

why cant the scrap metal thieves do something useful for a change and steal one of those gantries?

always going after power cables and water pipes, go after a nice big useless gantry straddling a freeway.
its not like somebody will mind, maybe people will volunteer their bakkies to help carry the garbage to the scrap yard.

Can you see the numbers: 12, 2, 42, 74 and 6?

I only see the 12, and if I squint my eyes, the 2. the rest is just images of colourful dots...

I only see the 12, and if I squint my eyes, the 2. the rest is just images of colourful dots...

I struggled to see 2, the rest stood out.
