Do you see the big orange things in the below picture. They are reactor containment vessels. The reactors in question are VVER 1000 reactors.

View attachment 1259274

Those containment vessels are designed to contain any accident that might happen within them. Which usually includes really high pressures. The result is that the concrete on these structures is about 1.2m thick.

You would need to hit it with something really specific to even scratch it. As long as they have turned it off (which it looks like they have, it isn't really a problem).
Penetrating the containment dome is not the issue here. The tidal wave at fukushima didn't break any of the containment domes. Simply interrupting the coolant to the cores (required even when the reactor is shut down) will eventually result in a meltdown. THAT doesn't need something really specific. Even a random bomb could achieve this.

In hindsight there should be a clause added to the Geneva convention prohibiting the targeting of nuclear power facilities. A little tit for tat here could get very ugly very quickly.

No, you are being disingenuous. It's yet another overblown lie by the Ukrainians. One of many lies so far.
The nuclear reactor was never being attacked. It was never leaking. The Ukrainians were using it as a reason for NATO to instil a no fly zone, until it was found out that it was a lie.
Oh yes, the videos only shows some Russians bringing over some firelighters to their Ukranian neighbours to have a nice braai. Some people are so naive it isn't even funny. You lot are so far up Punitin's ass.

Well apparently in war, that’s what they do.
It's clear you know nothing about war just like those troglodytes.

You seem to have missed the point completely. The reactor was never bombed nor leaking like the Ukrainian government lied about.
I'm talking about the deliberate lying by the Ukrainian government. Not about the attack itself.

Give nuclear power plants to neo nazi Ukrainians? Not a good idea.
But you welcome to give your opinion on it.

That depends on who the US president is. If it was Republican they'd flip the other way. Then again Trump was buddy buddy with the communists, which could explain their sudden u-turn...

CPRF 2016: 13%
CPRF 2017: 11%
CPRF 2021: 18.93%

2021: United Russia: 49% [As the largest party in Russia, it holds 326 (or 72.44%) of the 450 seats in the State Duma as of 2021] - Putin not leader of it but member and United Russia policies reflect his ideas.

The Communist percentage grew uncomfortable, yet Russia is not Communist since Gorbachev.

They're not communist in the same way the ANC and CCP are not communists. They've just gotten better at hiding behind government. The government is "neutral" and "democratic" but it's the party calling the shots...

Tar-and-feather much? All Ukranians are Neo-Nazis? Tried to live in Russia as a non-Russian? How do you think the Africans iin China are going with this Covid outbreak? Castigated and very public shows of racism against them.

Not so sure, there are indications of dictatorial tendencies (if Western MSM is to be believed) but I doubt it is of the Marxist flavour, unlike the ANC/CCP. I hope I am right, hidden/neo Marxism will be the worst. Anything is possible though.

What I am concerned about however is Communist China taking the opportunity to justify invading Taiwan (Putin is getting away with it, so can we) and other imperial ambitions. Nobody has even been bothered by China routinely killing Christians, routinely burning churches, imprisonment without trial, internment (concentration?) camps. etc.

Russia is using the Chinese equivalent of SWIFT/VISA now after Western sanctions, this is not good.

Russian bot, your comrades in Russkieland also have neo-Nazis. Have you used a bit more of your thought processes on that?
Bombed the hell out of civilians in Syria. 1000s dead in Chechnya. Russia is aiming nuclear weapons at Western countries now too (not that they haven't for decades) having gone on high alert. But sure, try your very hardest to paint the Russians as innocents here.

Africans were treated well by China during covid.
As for the neo nazis prisoners let out of jail by little Zelensky, they are a nuisance to themselves, Russia has to protect the nuclear plants, Zelensky and Co are desperate for dead bodies to leverage their plight of EU and Nato membership.

Lol...doubt! There were instances of Africans being thrown out of stores and ostracised, and this was indeed reported on, so please go check it out.
Actually, continue to believe Russia is a benevolent provider of peace to countries. Syria. Afghanistan. Chechnya. Suggest you read up about that too. Quite the eye-opener comrade.

China was brutal with covid patients at the start of the pandemic and rightly so, they stopped covid better than any other country. It’s not that Africans were discriminated against, all citizens were treated equally.

not sure why you harping on about Syria, Afghanistan and Chechnya, the US and Nato alliances have done far worse.

Whoosh! You seem to miss the point that if you indiscriminately bomb near a reactor it's the same as bombing the reactor. Also never saw the Ukrainian government claiming it was bombed directly or leaking.

Ukraine isn't the only country with neo nazis as the point y'all conveniently keep missing. Guess where most neo nazis now are. I'll let you think about it for a bit and give you a clue. It's not Ukraine, and it's surprisingly not Germany. ;)

Nuclear plant spokesman Andriy Tuz told Ukrainian television that shells were falling directly on the facility and had set fire to one of its six reactors. That reactor is under renovation and not operating, but there is nuclear fuel inside, he said.

Both were a lie.

lmao, you people are all the same. It went from, "there are no Nazis" to "actually there's Nazis on both sides so..."
Pathetic and predictable.
Next.

How do you know? Did you do an inspection? Bombing the nuclear plant seems like an accurate statement.

Dude what's pathetic is a dictator invading a democratic country. Punitin is using the term completely out of historical context. A nazi can only be a German, a member of the national socialist party. The reason he can get away with using the term "denazification" is because it resonates. Sure there are those with a semblance who can be described as neo nazis but they are a fringe group and not in control of the Ukrainian government. The irony is that his invasion has resulted in an influx of fringe groups using the opportunity to fight against Russia. Ukraine has actually become more democratic and it's this democracy that will ultimately encroach upon and overthrow Russia, not any fringe elements. Punitin and his cronies are the ones who are a threat to the Western way of life and displaying more tendencies of nazism.
