Besides the point / other end of reality. You deny there are cures for cancer. Lmao.

Tell me of anyone medically diagnosed with and cured of cancer? Over to you. Credible medical references please.

Depends on the tumour. You are correct in most cases and this is why the majority of PET radiotracers are FDG (glucose) but brain tumours love fat and those radiotracers are choline based

Thank you. I didn't know that and have learnt something.

You need to speak to the big food corporates and their dishonest marketers about Keto and not the medical professionals. Medical professionals advise that the corporate diet of refined carbs and sugar you can see aisles of in your supermarket is extremely unhealthy. It's sold because it's cheap to produce with high profit margins with a legal addictive drug (Refined sugar) added to keep the customer coming back for more.

But being a computer tech in a pharma company does not make you a doctor nor qualified to comment on medical issues.
Big food corporates are one thing, but to be honest, the SA Heart Foundation's endorsement of the use of low/zero fat food products (resulting in the increase in consumption of carbohydrates) and vegetable oils & margarine is a disaster.

Looking at their website, they list main sponsors - Willowton Oil and Tiger Brands.

Also, contrary to popular belief, junk food is very often NOT CHEAP, when price is converted to kg. Lay's chips for example at R 20,99 / 125g equals R 160.00 / kg.

That's almost double the price of chicken and close to steak territory. Way above the price of viggies or oats.

As for KFC / MCD you can buy a helluva lot of basic food for the price of KFC meal.

It all comes down to personal choices and education. Which is where the government and SA Heart Foundation should come in.

When thinking "fat is bad" (especially saturated fat) still circulates among the population, people end up eating sugar. And the majority of people do not know that sugar also equals glucose, fructose, dextrose, corn syrup, molasses, maltodextrin, etc. etc...

Well said, the dogma runs deep. And governments benefit and must keep everyone happy. To be fair there are probably many politicians not educated enough to know the facts like we do.
