We've finally taken the step to move off of the Eskom grid.

We are a farm in the South of Johannesburg, with 15 houses. We are in the process of moving off of the Eskom grid, almost done!

Just waiting for batteries from Hong Kong and then we'll be good to go! Panels will be powering 15 houses, along with 6 powerful irrigation and borehole pumps, as well as refrigeration for our raspberries!

Is it an optical illusion, or are the banks of panels angled steeper on the right side compared to left?

Looks like a fairly decent amount of generation capability there!

The spacing looks a little tight from that angle, I'd probably have gone with a slightly higher separation distance between the rows to avoid possible shading issues in winter months. I'm sure the installer has thought of that though.

Nice!

So THAT'S why we cannot get hold of any JA Solar Mono Percs of late!
Nice install! Keen to know the details, inverters and batteries (model and specs) as well as how you plan to secure them.

Congrats on this.

Curious to know what ESS you are purchasing and you did your homework ? Not all lithium are the same and only a few brands are proving their worth.

Yeah, unfortunately they stole 20 panels a few weeks ago.
We've just implemented fencing, various different motion sensors and cameras with two armed night watchmen.

Wow impressive. Would hate to think how much this all cost.

What does the farm produce (asking because that's a very expensive setup)

Awesome though, like please do share the stats and interfaces would be cool to see.

Probably everyone reading this is jelly right now, but this could be something communities consider to rid themselves of Eskom's poisoned future.

Keen to read the specs & pricing, gotta learn from the front-runners.
