Sounds like you should update soonest since the latest version removes the DDOS code.

The question is whether someone is going to maintain the addon going forward.

TV Addons has previously published a malicious code policy and says it takes an active stance against this type of abuse. As such, the team has taken it upon themselves to continue the development of Exodus, with Lambda’s approval.

How regular was there updates for Exodus? It's been on version 3.0.5 for the last week so just wondering how this whole sagga will effect the future of this addon. Should maybe start looking at something new soon!

I find that it's good to always have alternatives. Iv noticed that since the whole Exodus debacle I haven't been getting as many HD links as I used to. I get a lot more with Zen.

I don't use any third party Kodi apps anymore . I have many ISP dmca notices from movie companies for sharing movies and had no idea why. I only used Exodus and sports devil and mobdro . My data got depleted fast every month and uploads were greater than download traffic. Once I unplugged my android tv everything went back to normal. I suggest before installing any 3rd party apps you do a traffic analyzer to see what the apps are doing in the background .

sportsdevel has a P2P protocol as well if I remember correctly.

ps. Exodus actually updated to v.3.10 last night with a message saying there is some major updates/changes coming to the add-on.

Acestream is P2P I think. A couple of addons have Acestream integration.
